However, disk read errors during the boot process is fairly serious, often meaning the hard drive itself has failed or the system installed on that drive is seriously corrupted. In the end, you may be forced to reinstall the entire contents of the hard drive. However, before doing that, it is important to discover what caused the error in the first place. For example, if the hard drive is bad, it would be fairly useless to reinstall anything on it. It may be difficult to find a program which addresses that specific problem.
