I would go with CCleaner and would down load from cnet.com, pcworld.com, or at majorgeeks.com You can down load all the free soft ware you like at any of these sites.Keep away from any ads.really now way to know if legit or not for a while any way.Always read all reviews that you can find on the software before down loading so you understand the quirks if any.

CCleaner but one thing to keep in mind…when you install it, do not change anything about what it scans. Only if you’re a pro do you change that stuff. Just keep it the way it comes, do a scan and delete everything, you’ll be fine.

Agree that CCleaner is very good and free

Points to be aware of Running the Cleaner function are not to untinentionally allow it to delete some things you might not want it to. Look at the categories.

The Registry Scan is separate feature and do allow it to back up your registry before it works its magic.
