I use Advanced SystemCare. It’s option includes what it describes as “IObit Registry Defrag”. I would like to use this free Registry Defrag, but it says the computer’s anti-virus should be disabled before the registry check starts.

Yes it is safe but make sure no other program runs in background (Ctrl +alt+ delete) to get task manager {to kill other suspected processes} and that you are offline

If you are using IOBit Advanced System Care, trust the software.
IOBits software sees Registry changes (defrag) as malware.
Just go off-line and do the Registry Defrag.

Yes its safe, As long as your not going on line while using the defrag. If your worried just disconnect from the internet while you do the defrag
